At Restore First Health, caring for people isn’t just what we do, it’s who we are. That commitment extends beyond the walls of a patient’s home and into the communities we serve every day.

Pierre Scott, RFH’s Vice President of Operations for the Northeast, volunteered his time with Caring for Friends, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit dedicated to feeding homebound individuals, isolated seniors, and people experiencing homelessness. Pierre stepped in to help prepare and package meals, ensuring vulnerable neighbors received nourishment, support, and, perhaps most importantly, a reminder that they are not forgotten.

Living the Mission Through Action

For Pierre, the experience was more than volunteer work. It was a continuation of the calling that fuels his leadership at RFH:

“Giving my time to Caring For Friends was deeply meaningful for me, as it allowed me to live out my personal mission of bringing dignity, hope, and essential support to people who need it most. It also reflects the heart of what we do at RFH—providing hope through healing and showing up for those who rely on us the most.”
— Pierre Scott, VP of Operations, Northeast

Pierre’s words echo the foundation of Restore First Health: meeting people where they are, delivering care with compassion, and honoring the dignity of every individual, whether they are a patient, a caregiver, or a neighbor in need.

Why Community Engagement Matters at RFH

As a mobile health care provider, RFH enters patients’ lives at vulnerable moments. We see firsthand how isolation, instability, and food insecurity can impact not only health outcomes, but overall wellbeing. By supporting organizations like Caring for Friends, we extend our mission outside clinical care and into community support, addressing the real-world challenges many of our patients face.

Being present in the community allows us to:

  • Strengthen trust with the people and partners we serve
  • Understand local needs in a deeper, more human way
  • Stand alongside mission-driven organizations who share our vision of hope, healing, and dignity
  • Serve beyond the bedside, ensuring holistic care for the vulnerable

RFH is proud to support leaders like Pierre who embody our mission not only in their work, but in their hearts.

A Culture of Compassion

Community engagement isn’t a one-time act, it’s a reflection of who we strive to be as an organization. Pierre’s volunteer work is a powerful reminder that healing begins with connection, and that small acts of service can create meaningful impact for those who need it most.

Thank you, Pierre, for living out the RFH mission and showing what it means to lead with compassion.
