As a three-time entrepreneur, Shawn has successfully co-founded several medical practices, including the innovative and patient-centric Restore First Health, where he has dedicated the last five years to advancing healthcare delivery.
Shawn’s career began in the fast-paced worlds of advertising and the dot-com sectors, where he honed his skills in strategic marketing and digital innovation. His journey took a significant turn when he transitioned into the non-profit academic sector, managing global education programs in the Optics and Photonics industry while simultaneously pursuing an MBA from Western Washington University.
With a passion for merging technology and education, Shawn became an operating partner at a streaming media company that specialized in distance education across healthcare, insurance, and professional services. His leadership there impacted clients such as Zimmer Medical, The Cleveland Clinic, and Case Western Reserve University. In 2006, Shawn founded a financial transaction company that revolutionized the prepaid space, handling millions of transactions for major accounts including American Express, Costco, and Walmart. His ability to raise significant capital and attract a board of esteemed industry leaders underscored his entrepreneurial acumen.
After successfully exiting his company in 2013, Shawn spent several years consulting for startups, guiding them through capital raises, market entry strategies, and organizational restructuring for venture capital and larger private rounds of funding. In 2017, he became a partner in the investment banking industry, where he facilitated capital raises and executed complex debt and equity transactions in various sectors, including healthcare, with deal sizes ranging from $20 million to $100 million.
Shawn resides in Northern Colorado with his wife and three children, where he enjoys exploring the Rockies through Jeeping and engaging in a variety of outdoor activities.
